Beautiful Acrylic Paintings
San Diego artist Kathleen Bellows portrays beautiful women and girls through her intensely colorful acrylic painting. Lapithea Gallery has been set up to showcase these works which feature confident sisters and girlfriends out for fun and living life on their terms. Mardi Gras costumes, extravagant gowns and stylized hair are a study in figurative design realism - with a fabulously rich use of color. In June 2009, works from this collection were shown at the Olde Ramona Hotel Art Gallery in Ramona, CA. Kathy's entry "End Of The Day" was included in the Ramona Art Guild's open juried show. More recently, one new painting: Lisa (18" x 24" acrylic on canvas) was donated for silent auction at the 6th Annual Dog Show sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ramona, on June 12, 2010.
